2001 - Destroy all Monsters. Electronic sound and production for a radio version of Ken Hollings’ book of the same name for totallyradio.com. Issued on limited edition cassette on its 20th anniversary by the Tape Worm label. Buy here.

2004 - Connecting for BBC Radio 3’s Between the Ears. A radio feature exploring the world of the Phone Phreaker, precursors to todays computer hackers. The Phreakers built their own world within the telephone system -  a world of clicks, bleeps, whistles and a safe place to be different. The soundtrack used the sounds of the system and rare archive recordings to transport the listener. 2005 - Welcome to Mars for Resonance FM. A live 12 part radio series. Using tone generators, tape machines, found sound and synthesizers, the Welcome to Mars music was composed over a 12 week period for the live 12 part radio series of the same name written and presented by Ken Hollings. The radio series (which is now also a book from Strange Attractor Press) explored the '50s; a strange decade which saw the world exposed to UFO’s, mind altering drugs, the fear of nuclear annihilation and the beginning of man's conquest of space. 2006 - My Noisy Matchbox. A listening and sound gathering project encouraging pupils at Portslade Community College to create sound collages using the sounds from their lives. The same listening and field recording workshops were developed and delivered to Deptford Green School, London and as part Brighton and Hove Council’s Celebrating Age Festival.

2008 - The Simonsound. A space age electronic music project with DJ Format, exploring intergalactic fantasies through synthesizers and drums. 7” singles and a full length album found favour with Giles Peterson and led to performances at The Royal Festival Hall and venues around the UK and Europe. 2008 - Space Dome Ritual. A live performance on Buchla Electric Music Box in one of the telescope domes at Herstmonceaux Observatory.

2010 - Black Channels. Music with singer Becky Randall preoccupied with other worlds, parallel dimensions and the dark tapestry of the imagination. ‘Oracles’ released on cult soundtrack label Death Waltz records. More here.

2013 - Walt’s Lost Luggage. A Walt Disney alternate reality one-off created with Stanley James Press. More here.

2014 - 1974 - 2014. 40 Years in Sound. A one off vinyl release for my twin brother's 40th birthday. A very personal project which mixed field recordings from important places; clips from TV and film; music and voices. Moments from the past 40 years were brought to life using a mixture of actual recordings and reconstructions. Creatively sequenced over 40 minutes, the final result was then cut to a one off 12" vinyl and presented in a letter press printed sleeve. More here.

2015 - Two Knocks For Yes. A radiophonic exploration into the poltergeist phenomenon. Chilling accounts of nocturnal visitations and strange activity in the most mundane of suburban surroundings echo in and out of focus alongside electronic manifestations and tape manipulations in this 20 minute experimental radio collage. Cassette and vinyl editions and a live performance in a church. More here.

2016 - Akiha Den Den. A deeply surreal radio drama written by Neil Cargill and starring Star Wars’s Ian McDiarmid, featured an original score. We were bored of the stale output and gatekeepers at the BBC so we went off and made something ourselves. The soundtrack was later released on vinyl. Further audio drama work includes The Flickrman, Blood Culture and The Rez, those last two winning multiple awards. More here.

2016 - Cosmic Surgery. Original music for a limited edition release by photographer and paper sculpture artist Alma Haser. The music was part of a ‘Recovery Pack’ that expanded on the futuristic cosmetic surgery concept of the book. An expanded version of the album was later released by Spun out of Control. Listen.

2017 - Further. A live performance at Portico gallery, London. DJ Food & Pete Williams present the second of their irregular evenings at the Portico Gallery by creating a temporary audio visual space to enjoy. Films, slides, oil projections, food, drink and plenty of seating form the environment to soak up the sights and sounds of Further.

2018 - Musicity China. Architecture and sound in Shenzhen and Shanghai. Commission to travel to China and create two sound pieces inspired by and using sounds from buildings and structures in Shenzhen and Shanghai. Those pieces were then performed live at OCT Art and Design Gallery in Shenzhen including collaborations with local artists. A mix of compositions and field recordings was later released on cassette. 2019 - Kolmar LP. Performing Buchla Electric Music Box with Thomas Bloch (Crystal Bachet, Ondes Martenot) and Moses Boyd (percussion) on Max De Wardener’s album.

2018 - Electronic Breeze. Two durational soundscapes for a pop up space designed by Ab Rogers at the Lowry Gallery, Manchester for Maggie’s Cancer Charity. Commissioned by Musicity and released in 2022 by Lo Recordngs.

2019 - Hidden Sounds of Architecture. The sounds of the newly renovated London Bridge Station and Maccallen Distillery in Scotland uncovered using special microphone techniques. Films by Jim Stephenson. Watch.

2019 - Friction in House 2. An architectural sound piece at Walmer Yard, London. Commissioned by Walmer Yard for their Assemblage: The Lesser Senses event at which I also took part in a discussion about my work. Listen.

2020 - Practice - Invisible Studio. A film by Jim Stephenson and Laura Mark about architect Piers Taylor and his Invisible Studio. Watch.

2020 - Room Tones. Fill your room with electronic colour. A collection of self generated electronic pieces created during lockdown. Gentle machine music. Drones, flurries of notes and the beautiful harmonies created by chance. Digital release with proceeds to charity. Interview with Mat Smith.

2021 - I Feel You Like Home. Music and soundscape for Hastings Buddy Project exhibition at De La Warr Pavillion, Bexhill. An album of music and conversations with the exhibition’s participants was released by Lo Recordings.

2021 - What Does it take to Make a Building. Piers Taylor in conversation with Sarah Wigglesworth. A film by Jim Stephenson. Sound and music. Watch.

2021 - Electro Smog. Hidden electromagnetic sounds from Shenzhen’s electronic markets. Foil embossed book with photographs, short story and interview. 2023 - South of Shoreham Port - Flux and Phantoms. Multi dimensional broadcast experiment for Radiophrenia. With Angus Carlyle.

2023 - Can We Echo the Forest? - Sound installation at Camp FR. A feedback instrument that invites listening and gentle moves along with questions about how we listen to the environment - posing the question, ‘Can we listen first?’.

2023 - Freq_Land - a sound installation comprised of 12 individual sound works each utilizing a specific frequency range, made on site, and amplified to act as a single, generative sound-space. Curated by Carl Michael Von Hauswolff at Camp Fr. (My frequency range was 5k to 11k).
